The Cattle Market Cafe

Here at The Cattle Market Cafe we actively support the local farming community by not using imported meat,dairy products or poultry . We source quality produce from the local community.  Our prices are still reasonable: our breakfast menu starts at £1.95 and our lunches start at £5.95. Why not try one of our home-made cakes from 0.95p or a bowl of soup at £3.95?  Our 'Full Devon' breakfast at £5.95 has a huge Saturday morning following. 

Our opening hours are 08.30am until 2.00 pm Tuesday to Saturday.    Generally the first Tuesday of every month is a livestock auction day.  Catering for the farming community on auction days means we can be very busy but well worth a visit for the unique atmosphere! Sorry only working dogs allowed on site these days.  Outside of auction days there is ample parking for our customers

The Cattle Market Cafe promotes local artists and photographers by offering free exhibition space in the café.

On selected Sundays we are able to offer an exclusive, gated and secure venue for your event; so if you are an event organiser for a specialist/vintage car/ motorcycle club you may want to consider us.  Bookings: 0791 406 0231 or through this website.

The Cattle Market Cafe is located within the market itself on the corner of Pixon Lane and Whitchurch Rd, Tavistock. 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Just behind the Ward and Chowen sign. We look forward to meeting you!
